  2. what versions of aint that a shame and bring it home to me did you intend for Rock 'N' Roll?

  3. Very interesting, and well done. There are just a few thoughts: Paul was not allowed to put Teddy Boy on the White Album, so it's not likely they'd change their mind. I think two songs John would never allow are Silly Love Songs and Let 'em in. There are a few John numbers that would not be on a Beatles album because they were experimental or controversial, but mostly, it's a great fantasy.

    1. If we're going Full Fab Four Fan-Fiction Fantasy™ [Level F6] here, first I'll say that I agree with your logic ... but what would stop Paul from saying, "okay, you vetoed Silly Love Songs, so I veto ..." and they kind of shrug and agree to disagree?

(Would John have allowed "Too Many People," and would Paul have allowed "How Do You Sleep" on a Beatles album?)

And, of course, knowing how they built songs when in the studio, who's to say that John wouldn't have *loved* "Let 'Em In" and wouldn't have suggested adding in a few names from his own life (or their shared lives) like Aunt Mimi, or Pete Shotton, or Brian Epstein, or...

I always thought that if Paul and John were in the studio together during the recording of "Rock Show," that damned "it's Silly Willy with that Philly band" line would have NEVER gotten in there! 🤣
